The international armed conflict in Ukraine is fueling a devastating humanitarian crisis that is affecting the lives of millions of people. We have worked in Ukraine since 2014 and massively scaled up our response to meet the rising needs since February 2022.
In recent months, we have deployed additional teams to Ukraine as well as to neighbouring countries to support our operations and to respond effectively to humanitarian needs where they arise.
So far, we have assisted over 1 million vulnerable people with food, livelihood and cash assistance as well as hygiene material to respond to skyrocketing humanitarian needs. Furthermore, we have provided medicines and medical equipment to over 135 health structures to help treat more than 60,000 patients and assisted water utilities to restore and maintain vital water supplies, benefitting over 9 million people.
