It is dismaying that after enduring eight years of conflict, people in Ukraine now face more violence, pain, loss and turmoil. Fear, freezing temperatures and an uncertain future are what families are facing.
As the security situation allows, we are responding to urgent humanitarian needs on the ground. Our activities include emergency assistance, covering food, water and other essential items. We support hospitals and primary healthcare facilities with medical equipment and emergency preparedness. We promote respect for civilians under International Humanitarian Law and help people stay safe from weapon contamination. We help families separated by the conflict reconnect.
We are part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and work together with 192 National Societies worldwide, including the Ukrainian Red Cross.
